Dr. William Suh from Singapore Bone and Joint Clinic

Dr. William Suh double-majored in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Miami under a four-year academic scholarship, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with Honors (General Honors Program).  While he was there, he received two additional Engineering scholarships for his hard work and dedication to his studies.  He continued studying engineering and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Master of Science in General Engineering (currently the Department of Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering) with a full academic scholarship.  After graduate school, Dr. Suh worked in the engineering industry for six years as a Systems Engineer in rocket navigation.  The switch from Biomedical Engineering to Systems Engineering was purely due to a negligible interest from the faculty at that point in time.  There were two professors doing Biomedical Engineering, but one had different interests then myself, and then when I arrived at school, the other one ended up going on sabbatical.  Therefore, I was forced to find a different Master’s thesis topic and advisor.

After getting a flavor of corporate life, Dr. Suh decided to go back to the biomedical field where he first started his educational journey.  After careful consideration, he decided to further his education and become a Chiropractic Physician since he has always had an interest in the biomechanics of the human body and taking care of others.  Dr. Suh received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2007 from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago.  Dr. Suh worked in a private, multidisciplinary practice in the suburbs of Chicago immediately following his graduation, until moving to Singapore in 2011.  Dr. Suh founded the Singapore Bone and Joint Clinic to continue his passion for helping patients.

About 1.5 years ago (2012), I woke up one morning with excruciating pain at my pelvic area, especially at my right groin.  I took a Panadol and went about my daily activities.  Afterwards, I could not take the pain, and I consulted my GP who advised me to go for a x-ray of my pelvis.  The x-ray revealed that I was actually suffering from hip joint arthritis.  My GP advised to take a Panadol whenever there was pain until it was time for a hip joint replacement.  I did not want to be living on Panadol for the rest of my life and have to change my lifestyle.

Fortunately, I came across a mailer from the Singapore Bone and Joint Clinic and I decided to give it a try.  I walked in and met Dr. William Suh, who was so patiently answering all my queries, and he assured me that I would find improvement.  After about six to eight treatment sessions, along with stretching daily as he had taught me, I found great improvement.  Thanks to Dr. Suh, I am now able to continue my daily, normal lifestyle and I do not have to worry about having to go for a hip bone replacement one day.

I have been tolerating agonizing cervical and thoracic spine problems for the last 20 years. Over the years, I have tried many different types of treatments, from acupuncture to various kinds of Chiropractors, but none were able to relieve me of my agony until I met Dr. William Suh.

His endless concern and unique techniques of treatment have not only brought great improvements to my situation, but also great satisfaction. I am beyond grateful to be Dr. William’s patient.
